GOVERNOR ALIA CELEBRATES SSG, SERUMUN ABER, ON HER BIRTHDAY
Monday, September 7, 2026
Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, felicitates with the Secretary to the State Government, Aber Serumun Deborah, Esq, on the occasion of her birthday, describing her as a committed public servant whose professionalism, diligence and sense of responsibility continue to add value to the administration of the state.
In a message to the SSG, Governor Alia commended her for bringing her wealth of experience as a solicitor and arbitrator to bear in the discharge of her responsibilities.
He notes that the SSG’s background in law, governance and leadership, coupled with more than 15 years of professional experience, has positioned her to effectively coordinate government activities and contribute to the implementation of the administration’s policies and programmes.
The Governor recalls how Barrister Aber made history in September 2024 when she was appointed as the first woman to serve as Secretary to the State Government of Benue State, stressing that her appointment reflects the administration’s confidence in competence, merit and inclusive leadership, while her performance in office has continued to justify the trust reposed in her.
Governor Alia particularly appreciates her efforts in strengthening collaboration among ministries, departments and agencies of government, as well as her commitment to ensuring effective coordination in the implementation of the administration’s development agenda.
The Governor prays to the Almighty God to continue to grant Barrister Aber Serumun Deborah renewed strength, wisdom, good health and many more years, wishing her greater accomplishments, as she continues to serve God, humanity and the people of Benue State.
Sir Tersoo Kula, mnipr,
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
