NiDCOM Chairman Congratulates Mutiu Olawuyi on Media Ambassador Award in the USA

Abuja, Sept. 14, 2026: Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has congratulated Mutiu Olawuyi on his recognition as Media Ambassador for African Immigrants in the United States of America.

The award, presented by the African Immigrants’ Commission of New York and Connecticut, recognises Olawuyi’s outstanding leadership, community service, integrity and contribution to the African immigrant community.

Dabiri-Erewa described the recognition as well- deserved, noting that it reflects Olawuyi’s commitment to community development and his contributions to promoting the interests and achievements of Africans in the diaspora.

She also congratulated him on the City Council Citation presented in his honour by New York City Council Member Amanda Farías, describing both recognitions as further evidence of his positive impact in the community.

The NiDCOM Chairman wished Olawuyi continued success and encouraged him to sustain his efforts in promoting the interests of Nigerians and Africans in the diaspora.
