FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SETS TO LAUNCH AFRICAN GLOBAL FESTIVAL IN OCTOBER

The Federal government is set to launch the African Global festival Nigeria, Aglofest, in October 2026, following Presidential approval for the International cultural and economic initiative.

The Public-Private Partnership is designed to strengthen Nigeria’s cultural diplomacy and deepen engagement with Africa and the global black diaspora.

According to the statement, Aglofest is expected to bring together government institutions, private sector partners and international participants to focus on cultural exchange, trade, investment and business partnership.

It further discloses that the festival will equally showcase Nigeria’s cultural heritage, tourism potential and creative industries, while creating opportunities for investors, entrepreneurs and businesses.

Key features of the event are the black diaspora economic forum, focused on trade and investment, a cultural presentation celebrating African heritage and creativity and the renewed global hope and Peace concert, promoting peace and unity through music and entertainment.

The statement further notes that the preparations are underway, with engagements involving government agencies, private sector partners, international participants and cultural organizations.
