Minister Matawalle Attends NDA Combined Passing-Out-Parade, Pipping & Commissioning Ceremony In Kaduna

, MON, today Saturday, 26 September 2026, attended the Combined Passing-Out Parade, Pipping and Commissioning Ceremony of the 73 Regular Course, Short Service Course 49 of the Nigerian Army, Direct Short Service Course 34 of the Nigerian Air Force and Branch Commission Course 3 of the Nigerian Air Force of the Prestigious Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), held at the RSM Oliver Nzalgana Parade Ground, NDA, Afaka in Kaduna.

The Honourable Minister congratulated the Commandant, Nigerian Defence Academy, Major General O.T Olatoye, and the entire leadership, instructors and staff of the Academy for their sustained commitment and commended their ability to combine military training with conventional academic studies for the cadets in the academy as well as offer postgraduate studies for military officers and civilians, in line with the practice in the best military academies across the globe.

The Honourable Minister also congratulated the parents and guardians of the graduating cadets and thanked them for the sacrifices and support they have given to the graduating cadets that contributed to successful completion of their training and prayed that Almighty Allah would reward them for their sacrifices and dedication.

HM Matawalle equally commended the men and women of the Armed Forces of Nigeria for their service, sacrifice, courage and commitment to the defence of the nation. He urged them to remain disciplined, professional, resolute and focused in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities, and to maintain loyalty to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and his Government at all times.

As part of the tradition, the Special Guest of Honour and Reviewing Officer, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, on behalf of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, inspected the parade and officially commissioned the new officers into the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
