YULETIDE: CROSS RIVER POLICE REAFFIRMS OPEN LINES FOR EMERGENCIES, COMPLAINTS

The Cross River State Police Command has reaffirmed the availability of its official communication channels to members of the public as the Yuletide season approaches.

1. With increased movement, commercial activities and social gatherings expected across the State during the festive period, residents, visitors and other members of the public are encouraged to promptly contact the Police whenever they require assistance, wish to report an emergency, suspicious activity or lodge a complaint.

3. Members of the public are particularly advised to use the Control Room lines for emergencies and other urgent security situations. Complaints relating to police conduct or service delivery may be directed to the Police Complaint Response Unit (CRU) for appropriate attention.

Media enquiries, requests for official information and clarification on Police activities may be directed to the Police Public Relations Officer through the designated PPRO lines.

The Command further urges residents and visitors to celebrate responsibly, remain vigilant, avoid actions capable of causing public disorder, and promptly report suspicious persons, activities or situations to the Police. Members of the public are also encouraged to cooperate with the Police and other security agencies throughout the festive period.

The Cross River State Police Command remains accessible and committed to protecting lives and property, maintaining public safety and providing responsive policing services to residents and visitors throughout the Yuletide season.
