Umaru Napoleon Koroma Esq., has called on Indian investors and international business leaders to explore investment opportunities in Sierra Leone, emphasising the country’s potential to attract businesses, create employment and strengthen economic cooperation between Sierra Leone and India.
Minister Koroma made the call while delivering remarks as Chief Guest at the Closed Circle Private Investors Meet 2026, organised by Opesh Group at the Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, on 21–22 October 2026.
Addressing investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders, Hon. The Minister underscored the importance of investment in generating employment, expanding business opportunities and improving livelihoods. He assured prospective investors of the Government’s willingness to support constructive business engagements and promote a positive image of Sierra Leone as an emerging investment destination in Africa.
Hon. Koroma further highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships between African countries and India, noting that increased private-sector investment could contribute to economic growth, business expansion and sustainable job creation.
He welcomed Opesh Group’s efforts to connect investors with opportunities across international markets, including its stated ambition to expand its business network across more than 15 countries. He expressed hope that the engagement would encourage investors to look beyond established markets and consider Sierra Leone among their potential investment destinations.
