29-yr-old man arrested for r@ping a 5-yr-old girl in Bayelsa puts the blame on Kolos
A 29-year-old man identified as Ebikeme Seiye from Akede community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State has been arrested over the r@pe of a 5-year-old girl, identified as Oyeintari Idonwanbofa.
Seiye was apprehended on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, by the Bayelsa State Community Safety Corps, Amassoma Cluster, following a report made by the child’s elder cousin, Tobokeakpo Selekeme. According to the report, the suspect was questioned after his arrest and confessed to the act.
He reportedly attributed his actions to being under the influence of hard dr¥gs, locally referred to as Kolos. Following the interrogation, the Community Safety Corps handed Seiye over to the Amassoma Police Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Meanwhile, the young victim has been taken to a hospital, where she is currently receiving medical treatment.
