CHIEF OF STAFF OF THE ECOWAS STANDBY FORCE PAYS A COURTESY VISIT TO THE CHIEF OF STAFF OF THE NIGERIAN ARMY

The Chief of Staff of the ECOWAS Standby Force (COS FSF), Brigadier General Sheikh Massaquoi, and the Commander of the ECOWAS Logistics Depot (ELD) in Lungi, Captain Idenyi Jude Akpa, accompanied by staff officers from the ECOWAS Standby Force (FSF) and the Peace Support Operations Division (PSOD) of the ECOWAS Commission, paid a courtesy visit on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, to the Chief of Army Staff of the Nigerian Army (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, at the Nigerian Army headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria.

This visit was part of ongoing exchanges aimed at strengthening cooperation between the military component of the ECOWAS Commission and the Nigerian Army, particularly in the areas of regional security, defense cooperation, operational readiness, interoperability, training, and logistical support.
