Tinubu: Pharoah Cannot Lead to the Promise Land -MDPCO
…Insists Respite is in Makinde’s RESET NIGERIA Agenda

The Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Organization (MDPCO), berates President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his allusion to Egypt, saying that has made Nigerians to equate his administration to that of a “modern-day Pharaoh” under whose rule Nigeria has become a land of bondage.

President Tinubu’s hardness of heart and refusal/failure to heed the wailing of suffering Nigerians shows that, like Pharaoh, he appears to relish the sight of citizens struggling in grinding poverty and misery, when it lies in his hands to bring succor by rescinding the harsh policies.

President Tinubu’s words strike like the oppressor’s whip. His latest inflexible response to suffering Nigerians, coupled with his ill-considered reference to Egypt, sends a clear message. A leader who relentlessly chastised the people with whips for over three years cannot but resort to scorpions if allowed to continue beyond 2027.

Under President Tinubu, democracy and its tenets of Rule of Law, freedom, justice, due process, transparency and respect for the rights of citizens have all been eroded as Nigeria slides into a fully authoritarian regime; stifling electoral competition, freedom of dissent and institutional accountability as also reported in the 2026 Human Rights Foundation Tyranny Tracker.

In “Pharoah’s Nigeria” officials of the Tinubu-led administration and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) appear to see the nation a fiefdom, and Nigerians as vassals, slaves and conquered people.

This explains why the APC government continues to arrogantly impose harsh taxes and remain unaccountable while the people agonize.

In “Pharaoh’s Nigeria” the economy is atrophying, leaving millions of families at the mercy of hunger and disease. Scenes of desperate Nigerians scavenging through dustbins and most times fighting at events for food become increasingly common, even in major cities across the country.

Across Nigeria, soaring food costs, transport fares and rents have turned survival into a Sisyphean struggle. Salaries have lost their purchasing power, the healthcare sector is struggling under inadequate funding, and rising unemployment has condemned millions of young Nigerians to uncertainty.

Federal tertiary institutions, once a lifeline for indigent students, have witnessed tuition fee increases of up to 300 per cent in some cases. Poor students are now compelled to rely on loans without any guarantee of gainful employment after graduation to repay the loans.

This is the same country where the revered Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Tinubu’s claimed political patriarch, institutionalized free and quality education. Ironically, many members of Tinubu-led APC leadership who are beneficiaries of scholarships and educational opportunities are now superintending over an exclusionist education system where students train on loans. Tinubu’s education policies constitute an unpardonable assault on Chief Awolowo’s legacy and the values he stood for.

Most saddening, the Tinubu-led government has abandoned its duty post, allowing bandits, terrorists and kidnappers have turned our nation into a killing field, seizing communities, schools, places of worship and our highways. Indeed, this is not the country we all desire.

In any event, President Tinubu should know that Nigerians are too famished to gird their loins for a journey that lead to nowhere. They know that his “promise land” is a wilderness of hunger, hardship, hopelessness and uncertainty. Of course, Pharoah cannot lead to a Promise Land.

President Tinubu must come to terms with the fact that Nigerians know that he symbolizes the land of slavery to where they can never return. They are already journeying to the Promise Land with Engr, Seyi Makinde as the next President of our dear country on the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

Nigerians started the journey out of Egypt the day Engr. Makinde declared for the 2027 Presidential race with his RESET NIGERIA Agenda. This agenda embodies the clear-cut all-inclusive blueprint for national renewal, transparency and accountability in government, strengthened security system, revamped productivity for economic prosperity and efficient public service.

The fact that over 103 million Nigerians registered to participate in the 2027 general elections, with majority of them surging in support of the Makinde Presidency underscores the determination of the citizens to vote in Makinde and free themselves from APC’s “Pharaonic” rule

Hon. Richard Nnanna Ihediwa
