During the visit, Ambassador Cygan commended the professionalism, resilience and operational effectiveness of the Armed Forces of Nigeria. He noted that Nigeria’s strategic geographical position and sustained security engagements remain vital to peace and stability in West Africa and beyond.

“Nigeria’s strategic position and sustained security engagements have continued to contribute significantly to peace and stability in the region,” the Ambassador stated, describing Nigeria as a crucial stabilising force in the sub-region.

He added that there are several areas where Nigeria and Poland could deepen cooperation and share experiences for mutual benefit.
