CP NAZIRU ABDULMAJID RECEIVES NEWLY APPOINTED EFCC ZONAL DIRECTOR, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO INTER-AGENCY COLLABORATION

The Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, psc, has received the newly appointed Zonal Director of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Aliyu Nuhu Naibi FSI, alongside his management team during a courtesy visit to the Command.

During the visit, the EFCC Zonal Director expressed appreciation to the Commissioner of Police for his leadership and efforts in managing the affairs of the Command. He explained that the visit was part of efforts to familiarise himself with the Command following his assumption of office and to further strengthen the existing working relationship between both agencies.

He also commended the Nigeria Police Force for its sustained efforts in crime prevention, investigation, and the maintenance of law and order. He assured the Commissioner of Police of the EFCC’s continued readiness to provide the necessary support to the Police whenever the need arises.

In his response, CP Naziru Abdulmajid welcomed the EFCC Zonal Director and his management team, describing the EFCC as a key sister agency and an important partner in the fight against crime. He commended the Commission for its efforts in investigating and addressing financial and economic crimes, including high-profile cases.

The Commissioner further emphasised the importance of sustained cooperation, intelligence sharing, and mutual support among security and law enforcement agencies in tackling criminal activities and ensuring public safety. He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to providing the necessary support to the EFCC whenever required and encouraged the Commission to sustain its efforts in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities.
