Gov. Radda Receives 2,000-Member Iyaloja General Movement, as Group Backs 2027 Re-election Bid
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has received members of the Iyaloja General Movement in Katsina State, who staged a solidarity march involving over 2,000 members to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Radda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The delegation comprised members drawn from nine local government areas: Danmusa, Charanchi, Batagarawa, Katsina, Kaita, Mani, Rimi, Kurfi and Dutsi.
The movement’s Katsina State Coordinator, Alhaji Isa Muhammad Na-Mutumchi, said the mobilisation demonstrated the group’s commitment to supporting the two leaders’ re-election bids.
Governor Radda commended Na-Mutumchi for his selflessness, noting that he had never approached the government for personal benefits since beginning his service, but had consistently used his personal resources to support the movement.
“Since he started this service, he has never come to ask us for anything. Whatever he does, he does with his personal resources. In Sha Allah, we will also uphold the trust he has demonstrated,” the Governor said.
The movement reportedly has a membership structure of 36,252, from which the over 2,000 participants in the solidarity march were selected.
Governor Radda appreciated the members for their solidarity and urged political groups to promote peaceful participation, unity and democratic engagement.
Earlier, Na-Mutumchi explained that the movement was established by the President’s daughter, Chief (Mrs.) Dr. Mujidat Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, to mobilise support for President Tinubu.
“We mobilised over 2,000 members to demonstrate our support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dikko Umaru Radda ahead of the 2027 general elections,” he said.
He assured that the movement would sustain its mobilisation efforts across Katsina State.
