POWA OYO STATE CHAPTER EMPOWERS POLICE OFFICERS’ WIVES

The Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), Oyo State Chapter, today held an empowerment programme aimed at supporting the economic well-being and livelihood of wives of police officers across the Command.

The programme provided beneficiaries with empowerment items and support to enable them to strengthen their various businesses, acquire sustainable means of livelihood and contribute meaningfully to the welfare of their families.

In her address, the Chairperson of POWA Oyo State Chapter and Wife of the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, appreciated the Wife of the Inspector-General of Police for her continued support and encouragement, which she noted played a significant role in making the empowerment programme possible.

She further expressed appreciation to all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the initiative, noting that the programme reflects POWA’s commitment to the welfare, empowerment and socio-economic development of police officers’ families.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the gesture, describing the initiative as timely and impactful.

The Oyo State Police Command commends POWA Oyo State Chapter for this laudable initiative and its continued efforts towards strengthening the welfare and well-being of the families of police officers.
