NDDC CALLS FOR STAKEHOLDERS SUPPORT ON NIGER DELTA DEVELOPMENT.

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has commenced its 2026 Partners for Sustainable Development (PSD) Conference with a Pre-Conference Stakeholders Meeting.

The Programme, themed “Synergy For Transformation”, held at J’s Signature Hotel, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The Managing Director/CEO, Chief Samuel Ogbuku, PhD, speaking at the event urged stakeholders to actively participate in discussions and offer ideas that would further improve the Commission’s operations and service delivery.

He noted that the progress recorded by the Commission over the years was a collective achievement, adding that this year’s PSD Conference would introduce a stakeholding document as a Governance Framework for the NDDC. The document would be reviewed by stakeholders to provide recommendations that would enable the Commission serve the region more effectively.

Also speaking, Director, Community and Rural Development, Engr. Theophilus Allagoa, said the discussion was aimed at addressing overlapping mandates among government agencies in order to prevent duplication of projects and expenditure. He urged stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and develop a unified policy framework and development plan for the Niger Delta.
