GIABA CONVENES REGIONAL TRAINING FOR JOURNALISTS IN GHANA TO STRENGTHEN INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING ON ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL CRIMES

The Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA) commenced a three-day Regional Training Workshop on Investigative Journalism on Economic and Financial Crimes on the 22nd to 24th of September, 2026 in Accra, Ghana.

The workshop brings together investigative journalists and media professionals from across the West African sub-region to sharpen reporting skills, acquire modern investigative techniques and build a resilient media network dedicated to exposing financial crimes, corruption and illicit financial flows.

The workshop reaffirms GIABA’s and its Member States’ ongoing commitment to fostering an open, transparent, and resilient West African socio-economic landscape.
