ADIPEC 2026: NNPC’s Dagazau Co-chairs Industry Session on Building Future-Ready Talent for Downstream Sector

The Executive Vice President, Downstream, NNPC Limited, Dr. Mumuni Dagazau, on Monday co-chaired a session on human capital and talent management at the ongoing 2026 Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC).

Dagazau, who was appointed to the ADIPEC Downstream Technical Committee in May 2026, co-chaired the Downstream Technical Session titled “Developing future-ready talent for an evolving downstream industry” together with Mr. Ayman Ismaeil, Vice President, Government and Institutional Relations, Middle East and Africa, Hitachi Energy.

The session saw experts examining three subjects, namely: building lasting safety capability, how leaders prepare for crisis, and the role of mentoring in maintaining the flow of talent.

In his remarks, Dagazau stated that, as the downstream industry continues to transform, the difference between companies will increasingly depend on how well they prepare for crisis and on whether they measure the capability their development programmes create, as opposed to the volume of activity they provide.

NNPC Limited is participating in ADIPEC 2026, which holds from 2 to 5 November 2026 and is expected to bring together participants from more than 170 countries. NNPC Limited is exhibiting at Stand A400.
