The Air Traffic Services Training Centre (ATSTC), Kaduna, has inaugurated the Standard Flight Operations (SFO) Course 2/2026, aimed at enhancing personnel competence in flight planning, preparation and monitoring. Inaugurating the course on 28 October 2026, the Commandant, Air Vice Marshal NB Folaji, appreciated the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, for his continued support for training and capacity development, noting that the initiative aligns with the CAS Command Philosophy and the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to purposeful training.
The Commandant emphasised that effective flight operations are fundamental to aviation safety and mission success, urging participants to demonstrate discipline, integrity, dedication and professionalism throughout the course. He charged them to maximise the training opportunity and acquire the requisite skills to discharge their responsibilities effectively with minimal supervision.
The course will combine classroom instruction with practical exercises, including a study visit to Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, and a two-week On-the-Job Training programme at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The initiative underscores the NAF’s sustained commitment to developing skilled aviation professionals, strengthening flight safety and enhancing operational effectiveness.
