Abuja—The Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd) OFR, has stated that vast opportunities exist within the Armed Forces of Nigeria to deepen the adoption and utilisation of clean energy across the country’s transportation sector.
General Musa made the assertion at the Ministry of Defence Headquarters in Abuja while receiving a delegation led by the Chairman of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (Pi-CNG & EV), Barr. Ismaeel Ahmed, along with members of the initiative’s management team.
The Minister emphasised that keying into the clean energy initiative will significantly boost military operations nationwide. Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of the Initiative, Ismaeel Ahmed, explained that the visit was aimed at seeking the Ministry’s partnership to accelerate gas consumption and transition towards cleaner energy sources within the defence sector.
