Jordan/United Arab Emirates – Condemnation of Iranian strikes (August 31, 2026)

France condemns the Iranian attacks on Jordan and the United Arab Emirates in the strongest possible terms.

We call on all the parties to refrain from any actions that are liable to trigger another military escalation.

We remain fully committed to the security of all our partners in the Middle East and to supporting the search for a diplomatic solution, the only thing capable of reestablishing a lasting peace.

Ten tons of humanitarian aid delivered by France to assist the Colombian people (August 27, 2026)

Following the violent earthquake that struck Colombia on August 10, and at the request of the Colombian authorities, France has sent 10 tons of humanitarian aid to Colombia. This emergency shipment, which arrived in Colombia on August 29, includes shelters (tents, tool kits, cooking kits, floor mats, tarps), water treatment units, and hygiene and sanitation equipment. This humanitarian aid is intended to assist 200 affected families. It will be turned over to Colombia’s National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD).

This aid operation was managed by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs’ Crisis and Support Center, and received European Union support through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (EUCPM).

France reaffirms its heartfelt solidarity with the Colombian people. Our thoughts go out to the victims and their loved ones, and to all those affected by this disaster.
