NIGERIA CONGRATULATES PRESIDENT OF SAO TOME & PRINCIPE O N RE-ELECTION

The Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria extends its warmest congratulations to His Excellency Carlos Vila Nova on his re-election as President of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe.

The people of São Tomé and Príncipe have once again demonstrated their commitment to democratic values and the rule of law by participating in a peaceful electoral process. The Government of Nigeria salutes the maturity and civic responsibility shown by the people of São Tomé and Príncipe in exercising their democratic franchise.

Nigeria reaffirms its solidarity with the Government and people of São Tomé and Príncipe and remains committed to strengthening the longstanding bonds of friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect that exist between our two countries. We look forward to continued collaboration in areas of mutual interest, including regional peace and security, economic development, and the consolidation of democratic institutions on the African continent.

The Government of Nigeria wishes His Excellency President Carlos Vila Nova a successful second term in office and extends its best wishes for the continued progress, stability, and prosperity of the people of São Tomé and Príncipe.
