POLICE STRENGTHEN COMMAND CAPACITY AS PMF PASSES OUT SQUADRON COMMANDERS

The Inspector-General of Police says the evolving nature of security threats demands continuous training and professional development for officers with command responsibilities.

This was at the Police Mobile Force Training College, Ila-Orangun, Osun State, where more officers of the Squadron Commanders Conversion Course One, 2026, completed a one-month intensive training programme.

With security challenges becoming increasingly complex, effective command requires officers who can make informed decisions, coordinate personnel and respond appropriately under pressure.

It was against this backdrop that the Police Mobile Force Training College, Ila Orangun, subjected officers from Police Mobile Force operations across the Country to training in various aspects of leadership and command.

The IGP represented said the programme is designed to strengthen the capacity of officers taking up squadron command positions, with emphasis on discipline, coordination and professionalism in the discharge of security duties.
