PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GCFR RECALLS M.S DANJUMA, PERMANENT SECRETARY, FINANCE (SPECIAL DUTIES) FROM SUSPENSION

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Olumuyiwa Enitan Abel, has vide a letter No. HCSF/3023/Vol.III/124 dated 22nd October 2026, conveyed the approval of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR on the recall and reinstatement of M.S Danjuma, Permanent Secretary, Finance (Special Duties), Federal Ministry of Finance into Office with effect from 21st October 2026.

Mr. President had approved the suspension of M.S Danjuma along with two other Permanent Secretaries on the 21st Day of August 2026 following a report from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on the activities of a purported agency known as the National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office, allegedly promoted by one George Buchi Nwabueze with the suspected active involvement of public servants in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).

After due diligence, Mr. President has lifted the suspension and directed the Head of Service to recall Mr. Danjuma to resume his official duties with immediate effect and continue to discharge his responsibilities of the office in accordance with extant Public Service Rules, applicable regulations and the ethical standards governing the Federal Civil Service.
