Troops recover 12 rustled cattle during patrol in Kebbi

Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have recovered 12 rustled cattle during a fighting patrol in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was conducted at about 7 a.m. on Sept. 3, 2026, by troops deployed at Forward Operating Base Kanya.

The troops conducted a fighting patrol to Raba Kwana Village, where they recovered the 12 cattle believed to have been rustled by criminal elements.

The recovered cattle were subsequently handed over to their owners.

The operation forms part of ongoing efforts by security forces to protect rural communities, safeguard livestock and deny criminal elements freedom of action in the area.
