The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, PhD, FCAI, today, 19th August, 2026, conducted a supervisory tour of Metro and Life Camp Area Commands, where he inspected operational activities and assessed the general conduct and performance of personnel.

During the tour, the CP presented Awards of Excellence to the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) of Central Police Station and Life Camp Police Station in recognition of their dedication to duty and outstanding performance.

CP Sanusi charged officers to remain fair, professional and respectful of the rights of members of the public in the discharge of their duties. He specifically cautioned officers against extended and unlawful detention, directing that suspects must not be detained beyond 24 hours without a valid court warrant or other lawful authority.

The CP further emphasised the importance of discipline, neatness and proper appearance among personnel. To reinforce this expectation, CP Sanusi presented kits to personnel as part of efforts to encourage officers to maintain a smart and professional appearance while carrying out their duties.
