Dissolution of Political Appointments, Committees and Other Appointments in Uhunmwode LGA

The Acting Chairman of Uhunmwode Local Government Area, Hon. Austin Imafidon (ISIWINA), wishes to formally announce the dissolution of all political appointments, committees, boards, task forces and other appointments constituted during his tenure as Acting Chairman of the Council.

This decision takes effect immediately, Friday, 21st August 2026, following the successful winding off of his tenure in an acting capacity and in preparation for his subsequent swearing-in as the Executive Chairman of Uhunmwode Local Government Area.

The Chairman deeply appreciates all political appointees, committee members, advisers, aides and other appointees for their unwavering support, dedication, loyalty and invaluable contributions throughout his period as Acting Chairman. He acknowledges that the remarkable achievements recorded within this short period would not have been possible without their collective efforts, commitment and cooperation.

Hon. Austin Imafidon also extends his profound appreciation to the political class, party leaders, stakeholders, community leaders, supporters and the good people of Uhunmwode LGA for their continued confidence, encouragement and support. He recognizes their contributions as an important part of the progress recorded by the Council.

The Chairman further directs that all government properties, documents, equipment, official materials and other assets in the possession of the affected appointees be handed over immediately to the most senior civil servant in their respective departments or offices, in accordance with established administrative procedures.

While this dissolution brings the existing appointments to an end, the Chairman emphasizes that it is not a reflection of dissatisfaction with the performance or commitment of any individual. Rather, it is an administrative necessity arising from the transition from an acting capacity to a substantive executive tenure.

Hon. Austin Imafidon expresses his sincere gratitude to everyone, especially the Governor of Edo State Senator Monday Okpevbolo for finding him worthy to server in this capacity and to those who contributed to the administration during the acting period, and wishes them continued success in their respective endeavours.

As the Council enters this new phase, the Chairman calls for the continued cooperation and support of all stakeholders as his administration remains committed to greater development, accountability, inclusiveness and improved service delivery for the people of Uhunmwode LGA.
