The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) today revealed that it has uncovered yet another fake federal agency operating in Nigeria. The fake agency known as the “National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office” is alleged to be promoted by one Mr George Buchi Nwabueze with suspected active collaboration of senior public servants in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).

The suspected promoter of the fake agency, Mr George Buchi Nwabueze, has been discovered to operate under four variants of his name: Prince George Buchi Nwabueze, George Nathan, George Nathan Nwabueze, Hon. George Buchi Nwabueze and George Nwabueze.

This revelation was made today, Friday, by the Chairman of the Commission, Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, at the State House, Aso Villa, Abuja, while addressing the media after briefing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Based on fresh findings from the ongoing investigations of the fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) promoted by Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew, Dr Aliyu, SAN, had the need to further brief President Bola Tinubu.

Upon Friday’s briefing, President Tinubu ordered the arrest of the said Mr George Buchi Nwabueze as well as the immediate suspension of the following permanent secretaries in the OSGF
