ECOWAS COURT PRESIDENT RECEIVES AUDITOR GENERAL OF ECOWAS INSTITUTIONS ON COURTESY VISIT

Hon President Charlyne M. Brumskine received H.E. Carla Borges Bettencourt, Auditor General of ECOWAS Institutions on a courtesy visit on Friday, 30 October 2026 at the Seat of the Court in Abuja, Nigeria.

The discussions focused on the importance of close collaboration and a shared understanding of the respective mandates of both institutions, including matters relating to compliance and institutional procedures. In attendance were Hon Judges of the Court, Directors, Heads of Divisions and some key staff of both institutions.

The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthening inter-institutional relations, promoting accountability and upholding the principles of legality and the rule of law in the ECOWAS Community.
