GOVERNOR RADDA UNVEILS NORTHWEST PEACE & DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK AT UNGA 81

Katsina State Governor and Chairman, Northwest Governors Forum, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has graced the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

At a high-level side event with the theme “Seven States, One Ambition,” Governor Radda led the opening address of the Northwest Peace, Security and Development Framework 2026-2030 to international partners, investors and private sector leaders.

Speaking on the sidelines, Governor Radda declared, “Our major challenge in the Northwest is insecurity and we cannot tackle it alone. We have to come together as a region. This initiative, supported by the UNDP, is about how we collaborate, share intelligence and bring development to our people.”

The framework seeks to forge a common front for regional security, attract global partnerships, and create opportunities for young people across the seven states.
