Official Flag-Off of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement 2027

Today, I had the honour of joining political leaders, stakeholders and members of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement for the official flag-off and inauguration of the Katsina State structure of the movement at the People’s Square, Katsina.

I sincerely appreciate the Founder and Convener of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for choosing Katsina as the first state for the nationwide launch of this important initiative.

The choice of Katsina is significant not only because of our strong political history, but also because of the cordial and enduring relationship between Katsina State and the Niger Delta Region.

That relationship was strengthened remarkably during the administration of our illustrious son, the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, whose courageous intervention in the Niger Delta through the Presidential Amnesty Programme laid the foundation for one of the most significant and sustainable periods of peace and development in the region.

President Yar’Adua demonstrated that genuine leadership, dialogue, inclusion and commitment to development can transform conflict into peace and create opportunities for progress. His legacy continues to serve as an important bridge between the people of Katsina and the Niger Delta.

It is therefore fitting that Katsina was selected to host the northern flag-off of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, an initiative founded by a prominent son of the Niger Delta, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo. This occasion represents not only political engagement but also the enduring bonds of national unity, mutual respect and shared aspirations between the North and the Niger Delta.

Katsina remains a stronghold of the All Progressives Congress, with a united party structure across our 34 Local Government Areas and 361 wards. I therefore assured Mr. President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu (
@officialABAT
), of the continued support and commitment of the people of Katsina State to his leadership and the Renewed Hope Agenda.

President Tinubu’s reforms have strengthened the financial capacity of states and created greater opportunities for Local Governments to deliver development at the grassroots. These reforms are creating the space for governments to invest more in roads, education, healthcare, water supply, sanitation, markets and other critical infrastructure that directly impact the lives of our people.

As we approach 2027, our responsibility is to communicate the achievements and vision of the Renewed Hope Agenda to our people through constructive engagement, community outreach and direct interaction with citizens.

I encourage the leadership and members of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Katsina to work closely with our established APC structures and take the message of Renewed Hope to every ward, community, market and household across the state.
