With 10 Days to the Osun Governorship Election, Otunba Omisakin James Adebayo Calls for Peaceful, Lawful, and Credible Polls
As Osun State counts down to the gubernatorial election with just 10 days remaining, the Director General of the Kosigiri Forum for Imole (KFI), Otunba Omisakin James Adebayo, has called on all residents and eligible voters to conduct themselves peacefully and in full compliance with the rules and regulations governing the electoral process.
Otunba Omisakin emphasized that elections should be a celebration of democracy, where every eligible citizen is free to exercise their constitutional right to vote without fear, intimidation, or harassment. He urged political supporters across all parties to maintain peace before, during, and after the election, stressing that the unity and stability of Osun State must remain a collective priority.
He further advised the electorate to remain vigilant and report any suspected acts capable of undermining the credibility of the electoral process. According to him, citizens should be alert to any attempts at electoral malpractice or other unlawful activities that could compromise the integrity of the election.
Otunba Omisakin also encouraged voters to come out en masse on election day to exercise their civic responsibility in a peaceful and orderly manner, expressing confidence that the will of the people would prevail through a free, fair, and transparent electoral process.
He concluded by calling on all stakeholders—including political parties, security agencies, electoral officials, civil society organizations, and the media—to play their respective roles responsibly in ensuring that the forthcoming governorship election reflects the true wishes of the people of Osun State.
